After the birth of our first son, we quickly saw the challenges families face when it comes to finding clean, safe spaces to nurse or change their children—especially at community events like runs, festivals, farmers markets, and local gatherings. It was clear: mothers and parents deserve better.
As runners ourselves, we started with the race community—an environment we know and love. We hit the drawing board and began designing what would become Baby Basecamp. Our mission was simple but bold: raise awareness, raise the bar, and set the standard for what businesses, public places, and events should offer to support nursing mothers and families.

Our Two-Fold Mission

1. Baby Basecamp Foundation (Non-Profit):
Our nonprofit arm focuses on providing free, on-site family tents at public events. We offer:

A climate-controlled nursing tent for lactating mothers to privately and safely feed their babies

A dedicated changing tent with clean, temperature-controlled stations for parents
We intentionally structured this as a nonprofit because we believe these services should always be free. We self-fund much of this work to ensure that every family—regardless of income—has access to clean, supportive spaces at events.
2. Building a Parent-Centered Community and Marketplace:
Beyond our tents, we’re building an online hub for parents—a platform that offers:

Education and family-focused resources

A public review directory of businesses and locations to check if they're family-friendly (nursing spaces, changing tables, etc.)

A dedicated marketplace where parents can buy and sell used or new baby gear, family items, and more—all in one place, exclusively tailored to families
We're forging partnerships with brands, bloggers, influencers, and parents who share our mission: to make every space more supportive of moms, dads, and children.
This is more than a service—it's a movement. And we’re just getting started.
Same Passion, New Mission
We've always been deeply involved in our community—participating in local events, races, and gatherings. Over the years, we felt incredible support from those around us, and now it’s our turn to give back. While our lives have evolved from carefree event-goers to proud parents, our passion for community remains strong. Today, our mission has shifted toward creating spaces and resources that support and empower families just like ours.
Why “Basecamp”?
We chose the name Basecamp because we believe every family deserves a home base—a safe place to regroup, recharge, and feel secure, no matter where life takes them. Just like a mountain basecamp, we’re here to provide comfort, support, and community, whether you’re navigating local events, discovering trusted family-friendly places through authentic reviews, or buying and selling gear in a marketplace designed specifically for families.
